Longevity Requires New Tools
PocketFinder® believes that our GPS locator devices are meant to empower the carrier and bring calm to the user. We are delighted that you have found us and are happy to answer any questions you have about our devices and how they can help the senior loved one in your life.
Seniors Are Living Longer
The gifts of modern science are allowing us to live longer than ever before. We are now able to share many years with our elderly loved ones. Seniors today are more robust and healthy than ever. They are leading full and productive lives well into their mid 70’s and 80’s. This longevity is great and there are new GPS location devices that are allowing the elderly to live more independently whether on their own or in a home.
GPS Locaters Enable Independence
The PocketFinder® People is a groundbreaking device that enables senior citizens to live confidently with the assurance that their loved ones know their location at all times. It is a great tool in helping adult children or caregivers monitor their regular activity and locate them should something happen.
These personal devices are small and light devices that are very convenient to carry and use. The actual day to day use by the carrier is limited to only requiring a simple recharge. This happens by placing the device in a holder, not by plugging in a small charger plug. This makes it easy to use for seniors who don’t always have the best ability with their hands and fingers.
Great for Active Seniors as well
PocketFinder® GPS locators for seniors are not just limited toward those who need constant attention. It is also great for seniors who are on the go. Adult children want to know their parents are active and safe. PocketFinder® People allows them to receive alerts when they travel outside or into certain areas or they can get an alert if the senior is driving too fast for their abilities.
Using the Device
The senior carries the GPS location device on their person at all times or when they leave the house. The GPS signal “pings” the device during defined time intervals and updates the location on a map. The adult children or caregiver can log into the website or access the backend system with a web enabled smart phone. From this system, they can manage account details, locate the device, review a travel history and set zones or speed limits to receive alerts.
With the PocketFinder® in hand, a senior can confidently go about his or her life knowing safety is available at all times. If an elderly individual falls, the PocketFinder® allows their loved ones to find and help them. The elderly individual can also be located if they get lost or cannot find their way home. Senior citizens do not have to restrict their lifestyles any longer because of fear of getting lost or injured in an unknown location.
